RUSSIAN STADIUMS TO ALLOW COCAINE, CANNABIS, AND HEROIN AT 2018 FIFA WORLD CUP
The bureaucratic lake will allow football fans taking part in the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia this summer to bring cannabis, cocaine and even heroin to events as long as participants have the appropriate medical documents.
The Asian Economic Community in Moscow (EAEU), a common trading bloc of countries such as Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Russia, allows the entry of certain banned substances and psychotropic substances into the country with supporting medical documents. The Federation of Russian Countries gives foreign travelers the right to carry drugs, including cannabis and cocaine, with appropriate medical papers.
These regulations, which allow passengers to import and register medicines, will apply as millions of football fans from around the world arrive in Russia for the 2018 Fifa World Cup between June and July.
FIFA rules also allow viewers to carry drugs on their own, but they must have a written description in English or Russian, the Izvestia Kremlin reported for the first time. The laws of the Russian Federation on the conduct of spectators will remain valid in 11 Russian cities hosting the 2018 FIFA World Cup events. The smoking ban in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Sochi will also remain active.

“Security officials will monitor compliance with the rules for the supply of drugs at stadiums at checkpoints,” the committee said on Tuesday. The transfer of drugs to the region is part of the UNECE decision in November 2015. According to this regulation, travelers cannot provide a limited number of medicines to EAPC countries when accompanied by “supporting medical documents indicating the name and quantity of the products “.
When acting under the laws of the Russian Federation, customs registration is required to provide up to seven types of narcotics and psychotropic substances. However, additional documents are needed on the recipes to transfer different types of individual drugs. In addition, travelers to Russia must complete a customs clearance form for passengers on the specific medicines they bring in the country.
The complete list of substances authorized in Russia, which will host the World Cup between June 14 and July 15, will allow cocaine, codeine, morphine, amphetamine, and cannabis.
The 2015 UNECE Regulations also prohibit the entry into the mass of a wide range of foreign products ranging from “ozone-depleting substances” to animals such as fugitive seals.
